Gnana and Vidya, both means knowledge. There are two main deities of knowledge – Maa Saraswati and Lord Ganesha. Gnana Saraswati & Vidhya Ganapathi Homam is performed to seek the blessings of both the deities.

Maa Saraswati is regarded as the mother of Vedas. She is the giver of knowledge, arts and music. Also, Lord Ganesha is also worshipped for knowledge as he is also called Buddhi Ganapati. Together, they ensure immense success in the career and academics of a person.

This homam offer best results when performed on Wednesday. Also, one can choose a date based on his Janma Nakshatra. It is recommended that this homam should be performed during the Brahma Muhurath. Amla, Ashta Draviyam are the  main ingredients during this homam.
